SC Youth Soccer (SCYS) is delighted to announce the launch of its third U.S. Soccer C Course for 2023, reaffirming its commitment to developing coaches and fostering the growth of soccer in South Carolina. With a focus on affordability and accessibility for South Carolinians, SCYS is proud to lead the way by offering one of the lowest cost C Courses in the country for its members.
The previous two C Courses organized by SCYS this year saw an overwhelming response, with over 70 current student coaches from SC-based leagues enrolling. Recognizing the high demand and the desire expressed by coaches in the state, SCYS has opened 36 additional spots for coaches to take part in the third C Course of 2023, starting in December.
To further encourage the involvement of coaches within South Carolina, SC Youth Soccer is providing a lower enrollment fee, extending its commitment to making the course accessible to coaches actively involved in South Carolina based clubs that participate in the USYS National League (Piedmont and South Carolina), PMSL and Open Divisions, Junior Academy Leagues, and Recreational play.

The successful return of the C Course to South Carolina would not have been possible without the support of various organizations state-wide. SC Youth Soccer extends its heartfelt gratitude to The City of Florence and Florence Soccer Association, Charlotte Independence, and Carolina Elite Soccer Academy (CESA) for their support and collaboration in bringing the C Course back to the state; especially with the demands of classrooms, fields, and player access as coaches strive to obtain their C License.
The U.S. Soccer C Course is a huge stride in the development of coaches, providing them with skills and knowledge related to training methodology, planned player development, game management, and more. By offering this course, SCYS aims to enhance the quality of coaching and ultimately improve the soccer experience for youth players across the state.
