THE PLAYER

U.S. Soccer's mission for Olympic Development Programs (ODP) across the country is to identify, evaluate and develop players for the U.S. Soccer's National Team programming. To best serve this mission, South Carolina's ODP Program is aimed at players competing at the national league level. This includes leagues such as: ECNL, MLS Next, Girls Academy, ECNL-RL and National 1 League.

However, registration is not exclusive to national league level players, as we understand that not all high performing and potential players have access to this type of competition. Please speak with your club director(s) for guidance if you are unsure of your current performance level.

THE PROGRAM

The vast majority of players participating in the South Carolina ODP Program also participate in regular club training and games programs. We recognize that the majority of player development is entrusted to these clubs and their coaches, and we do not want this program to interrupt the club process. Instead, we aim to have South Carolina ODP serve as a supplemental program for players.

We want to provide players with an opportunity to learn alongside other high-performing players from across the state and region. This is acheived through training, in-state games and out of state games against states within our region (Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee).

THE SCOPE

1. Open to players in the U12 through U17 age groups
2. Opportunities to compete in multiple localities, states and regions
3. District pools, inter-state games, sub and inter-regional games
4. Male and female development tracks
